Dolce & Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana: just mention them and the mind immediately conjures up Sicily, Italian neorealism, and the image of a femme fatale in all-black. An imagery built over the years by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, capable of transforming a recognizable aesthetic into a true empire that ranges from ready-to-wear to haute couture, beauty, and design.

Dolce & Gabbana garments enter the imagination of the fashion world: the lace, satin, and chiffon bustiers, leopard print, corsetry, pinstriped suits. Each collection, while maintaining a strong reference to Sicily, is different. From baroque to animalier, from cardinal to proletarian, from bourgeois to aristocratic. Over time, the design duo began to look to Sicilian folkloristic elements, such as the horse-drawn Sicilian cart, ceramics, and puppets. These elements became part of the brand's creative collections, becoming symbols. Just like the Dolce & Gabbana logo, which quickly became iconic and has remained unchanged over the years.
